14敷地を越える緑の広がりオムロン京阪奈イノベーションセンタけいはんな関西文化学術研究都市は、京都大阪奈良の３府県にまたがる丘陵地帯にあります。国際高等研究所は、思索と交流のためのスペースを緑豊かな庭園に点在させる建築群として１９９３年に完成。その１０年後、対面する山すそにオムロン京阪奈イノベーションセンタが建設されました。この施設は、けいはんな都市最大規模の施設でありながら、景観に配慮し、全体を低層化し、特に、隣接する国際高等研究所から見える景観を壊さないように配慮しました。敷地内の空地は、かつてそこにあった里山の景観の再生をテーマに緑化を行い、敷地背後の山々の緑と一体化させ、また、国際高等研究所の庭園と一体化したランドスケープとすることで、けいはんな都市の景観形成の一端を担っています。児玉　謙まち/緑をつなぐLinking greenery beyond the siteOmron Corporation Keihanna Technology Innovation Center Kansai Science City is situated in an area of hills straddlingthe prefectures of Kyoto, Osaka and Nara. The InternationalInstitute for Advanced Studies was completed in 1993, in the formof clusters of buildings dotted in a lush garden, intended to allowspace for interaction. Ten years later, Omron Keihanna InnovationCenter was built at the foot of the mountain opposite. This facility is the largest in the Kyoto-Osaka-Nara region,but it was designed as a low-rise building throughout because ofconsideration for the scenery. Planting on the open space withinthe site was themed on restoring the view of the "satoyama"pattern of cultivated hillside use that existed before, integrating itwith the green of the mountains behind the site.Ken Kodama道路を挟んで、3つの施設が緑の海で一体的につながる。Three buildings, straddling the road, are united amid a sea of foliage.国際高等研究所のロビーから、背後の里山のスカイラインを残したオムロンイノベーションセンタを見る。The Omron Coporation Keihanna Technorogy Innovation Center,arranged against the background of "satoyama" hillside skyline, is visiblefrom the lobby of the International Institute for Advanced Studies深い庇や実験フロアを覆う縦格子は、隣接する国際高等研究所と共通した「和のテイスト」を作り出す。The deep eaves，and the vertical lattice covering the experiment floor, create a Japanese esthetic which is shared with theadjoining International Institute for Advanced Studies環境親話2006まちから建築へ　日建設計―FACT－NIKKEN SEKKEI
