自然換気機能を持つ全館吹き抜けのエントランスホール。西陽に面する部分は断熱二重ガラスを採用。The entrance hall has an atrium which rises through the whole building, providing naturalventilation. Areas which face the western sun have insulative double glazing.平面図。光の塔と風の塔からなる10本の「スルーホール」。Floor plan. Five are placed at thetop of the building, with a sun-tracking system, as a light tower, while the other five protrude from the roof as a wind tower, providing efficient natural ventilation. External air drawn in fromunder the floor in the light tower flows into the building, and isexpelled through the wind tower. It would also serve to vent smokein the event of a fire.We employed three methods to make the glazed atrium ofthe building more pleasant. First, we made the facade concave toimpede the entry of direct sunlight, then we provided air intakes atthe bottom of the atrium, combined with vents in the top for aircirculation, and we concentrated air conditioning in inhabited areasby combining floor-vented air supply with floor heating and cooling.Ken Yoshimura光の塔Path for wind風の塔Path for light32環境親話2006まちから建築へ 日建設計―FACT-NIKKEN SEKKEI
