It has achieved an unprecedented reduction in environmentalload by considering such reduction for the area as a whole, not forindividual buildings. In a concentrated business and compound zone of large scaleand high density, it is easy to deploy large-scale equipment of highefficiency, and the energy required for conveying heat can bereduced. Plant for electrical power and the district heating and cooling(DHC) system are centralized and located to achieve a compactequipment infrastructure with short conveyance distances. Even at theoperating stage, ongoing environmental management activities arepursued at the district level to cut environmental loads.
