Effective cost management requires that cost targets appropriate to the scale and quality necessary for a given site be identied at an early stage. A special type of spec sheet provides a visual comparison of the cost- and value-related aspects of a project by indicating specications and quality in images and rough cost estimates in stages. This allows the comparison of quality and cost, and rationalizes the process of adjusting these two factors in relation to each other.
