　私は、以前ドラマや映画を製作したことがありますが、美しさに対する感覚は岡本さんと通じていると感じます。私たちは気が合い、意見もほとんど一致しています。今まで華為の多くのプロジェクトに携わりましたが、松山湖プロジェクトが最も順調に進んでいます。　松山湖プロジェクトには「天の時、地の利、人の和」が整っていると思います。つまり、天の与えた好機でプロジェクトが立ち上がり、土地の有利な条件を活かし、関係者が共通の理念と思想をもって進めているのです。「天の時、地の利、人の和」は、プロジェクト成功の基礎になります。─好循環が生む建築より良い建築は、企業ブランドを向上させます。快適な職場環境は、より多くの優秀な人材を引き寄せ、競争力を向上させます。建築を通じて好循環が生まれてくるのです。これは建築づくりにおける私たちの考えですが、次のプロジェクトの設計を誰に頼もうかと考えるときも同じであり、自ずと日建設計との仕事につながっています。松山湖プロジェクトをはじめ、数々のプロジェクトの実現に期待しています。directions about how to link the architecture and the environment and how to fulfill Huawei’s demands. The Nikken Sekkei design team headed by Takashi Okamoto skillfully grasped the direction we were seeking and reflected it in the early draft of the architecture. We believe that this project, while it utilizes diverse European architectural styles, has to be careful to shun what is superficial and fake, and to keep only that which is genuine and true. What is important is not simply to copy certain architectural styles but to make them truly beautiful. We aimed to achieve something beautiful and in harmony with the beauty of Songshan Lake. In that endeavor it was important to be able to judge what is real and what is fake, and we found that Okamoto and his team possessed that judgment.I have worked in productions of dramas and films, but I felt that Okamoto shared my sense of what is beautiful. We enjoyed a good rapport and agreed on almost everything. I have been involved in many Huawei projects, but the Songshan Lake Project has gone more smoothly than anything I have experienced before. I am convinced that the Project benefits from the fortuitous alignment of timing, location, and people. In other words, the project has been started at a good time, has been able to take good advantage of the given location and has been carried forward by people with shared principles and ideas. These convergences make for a successful project.–Architecture for a Virtuous CycleThe better the architecture, the more it enhances a corporate brand. Architecture sets in motion a virtuous cycle in which a pleasant work environment attracts more capable people, and the performance of those people in turn improves the competitiveness of the enterprise. When we think about who we will ask to design our next project, we will often think of Nikken Sekkei.
