松江市総合体育館 千鳥のように軽やかにMatsue City General Gymnasium Airy and Light Evocation of a Bird 建築主 松江市｜共同設計 環境計画建築研究所所在地 島根県松江市｜延べ面積 13,872m2Client Matsue City｜Co-architect Kankyo KeikakuLocation Matsue, Shimane Pref.Total oor area 13,872m2 都市公園に建つ旧総合体育館の老朽化に伴う、同公園内での新築移転計画です。メインアリーナの大屋根は、松江市の象徴である国宝・松江城（別名・千鳥城）の千鳥破風のように、軽やかで力強くしなやかな架構をイメージし、「立体鋼管キールトラス（背骨）」と「張弦梁（羽根）」を組み合わせることで、合理的に大空間を構成しました。また、越屋根を設けてキールトラスを納め、競技に要求される高さを確保しつつ、自然採光・換気を促す計画としました。This plan replaces an aging municipal gymnasium in a new, city-park location. The form of the main arena roof draws inspiration from the strength and supple grace of Matsue Castle, the city’s prized symbol and national treasure, with its swooping layers of eaves that give it a sense of lightness and flight. Here a steel-tube keel truss forms a spine and string beams ribs for a structure that encloses a vast, unobstructed space. The keel truss is housed in a monitor above the main roof, helping to achieve the required height, enhancing the articulation of the roofline, and providing for natural lighting and ventilation.Photography｜佐藤和成／Kazunari Satoh152016 Winter 29
