ポーラ五反田ビル クリスタルロビー改修価値を保存し、安全性を担保するPola Gotanda BuildingPreserving the Value of Spaces while Ensuring Safety 建築主 株式会社 ポーラ所在地 東京都品川区延べ面積 11,720m2Client POLA Inc.Location Shinagawa-ku, TokyoTotal oor area 11,720m21971年竣工、当社設計（林 昌二、三浦明彦）によるポーラ本社建物のエントランス「クリスタルロビー」の天井耐震改修計画です。事業を継続しながらの工事を前提に、既設下地を利用しながら、軽量化とフェイルセーフの手法を用い、大地震時に利用者に危害が及ばないことを目指しました。日建設計のDNAを継承しながらも、現代の素材、技術を用いることで、先人が実現した空間を、「安全性」を担保しながら、持続可能なものとしました。The ceiling of the entrance to Pola’s headquarters, “the Crystal Lobby,” completed in 1971, designed by Shoji Hayashi and Akihiko Miura of Nikken Sekkei, was seismically retrofitted while business continued as usual. The refit was necessary to bring the structure up to current code requirements to enable use of the space below and lighten the weight of the ceiling incorporating modern fail-safe attachment methods, making use of the existing ceiling structure. Employing the latest materials and technology to secure Photography｜中村 絵／Kai Nakamurathe safety of the space created by our predecessors ensures that the design DNA of Nikken Sekkei will be passed down.
