The writing, illustration, and editing were all done by members of the volunteer team. We decided to use the manga format to tell the story to make the booklet more accessible to a wider readership. We hope this format makes it easier for readers to identify with the situations portrayed and think about the immediate personal importance of disaster preparedness.–Building on Individual Experience Receiving copies of the booklet, some people commented that they, too, had wanted to tell their story. We are honored by this recognition and thankful to the people who helped us in our efforts. prayers for their speedy recovery and courage in the face of this terrible disaster.
