● 表は『BD World Architecture 100』掲載内容から再構成したもの。Based on data published in BD World Architecture 100.032017 Spring 30環境建築の国際的評価─ASHRAE Technology Awardsの受賞International Recognition for Environmental Architecture: Nikken Sekkei Receives ASHRAE Awardsミャンマーにおける寺子屋の建設支援Supporting Monastic Schools in Myanmar2017年世界の設計事務所ランキング、マスタープラン部門で1位にNikken Sekkei Ranks First in 2017 BD Master Planning Category YKK80ビルが、ASHRAE Technology Awardsの世界レベル表彰において最優秀賞（First Place）を受賞いたしました。同賞は、米国暖房冷凍空調学会（ASHRAE）が毎年実施している、省エネルギーと快適性、周辺環境との調和、建物利用者の健康などを高いレベルで実現した環境建築を表彰する制度です。オフィスビルでは日本初となる米国グリーンビルディング協会（USGBC）のLEED-CS「プラチナ認証」に続き、省エネルギー性能や環境建築としての取り組みを国際的に評価いただくことができました。The YKK80 Building received first place the ASHRAE Technology Award. The award, sponsored by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), recognizes excellence in energy efficient green architecture that creates environments that are comfortable, harmonious with the surroundings, and support the wellbeing of the occupants. Earlier, YKK80 became the first office building in Japan to receive Platinum certification for LEED-BD+C (Core and Shell) from the US Green Building Council (USGBC). We are gratified by this further international recognition of our efforts in energy efficiency and environmentally friendly architecture.Nikken Sekkei is a member of the Myanmar Monastic School Support Team that supports the construction of monastic schools for children who are otherwise unable to attend school. Since October 2012, five individuals and 19 companies from Japan have provided financial support, and Myitar Yaung Chi Nunnery Educational School, the third of such schools, was recently completed in Yangon city’s South Dagon township. Nikken Sekkei will continue to provide support to the project.The January 2017 issue of BD, the U.K. journal’s annual ranking of world architectural practices, placed Nikken Sekkei first in the master planning category, second in number of architects (per BD definition of licensure), seventh among “most admired” corporations, and among the top 10 in 19 other categories.
