Scale 1:8,0000100200山陰自動車道atari H61 x W79yonago site, scale 1:8,000至 富士見町駅To Fujimi-cho StationN300400m12村野藤吾の設計による1958年竣工の公会堂の耐震補強および大規模改修プロジェクトです。建設当初に工事費確保のため市民による募金活動が展開されて以来、米子市のランドマークとして、芸術文化活動の拠点として市民に愛され続けてきました。一時はその耐震性の脆弱さから閉館され、廃止の議論にまで発展しましたが、今回の改修工事で再生を遂げ、市民のもとに返されました。This project entailed the seismic reinforcement and large-scale upgrade and refurbishment of the Yonago Public Hall designed by Togo Murano (1891–1984), completed in 1958. Since its original construction, made possible by a local-resident fund-raising drive, the building has been a much-loved landmark and center of artistic and cultural activity. Due to seismic vulnerability, however, it was temporarily closed and demolition was discussed.
