ていました。そのシンポジウムでFCAJの活動を知り、また産学官民のオープンイノベーションのあり方や研究開発拠点のつくり方を考えていたこともあり、その後、正式にFCAJに参加し、新設された場の視察研究から各種ワークショップなどで協働するようになりました。　FCAJには、イノベーションセンターやフューチャーセンターなどさまざまな施設や場の企画・運営者が集まっており、月1回の定例会では、毎回テーマオーナー制で問題を提起することから議論が始まります。参加者はその問いを自分ゴトとして考え、異分野の参加者同士がアイデアを膨らませ、目標や施策案などをまとめていきます。こうした場の増加とともに参画メンバーも増え、提起される問題やテーマも多様化してきました。NADは、企業や社会が抱える本質的な悩みを解決するための場や空間の提案をはじめ、顕在化していない可能性を見つけ出し、分かりやすく伝えるメソッドやアイデアを共有してくれる頼もしい存在です。こうして蓄積された知見から、新しい価値やビジョン・コンセプトなども生まれ、企業・省庁の枠を超えたコラボレーションリサーチなども始まりました。　NADのオフィス空間は、夏休みの自由研究に集まったような感覚で、初対面の方々とも前向きな議論ができる雰囲気があります。プロジェクトの進行に合わせてアウトプットを柔軟に決めていくというプロセスが自由闊達な意見交換を促進しているのではないかと思います。固定観念や既存モデルに縛られずに社会的な価値を創造していくには、まず気楽にやってみようと思わせる場のデザインは重要だと思います。より豊かな未来都市のデザインにおいて、住民参加型の仕掛けや仕組み、そして常識を覆すような実験など、単独の組織だけではできない社会変革を加速するペースメイカーとして一緒に伴走していただきたいと思います。次の時代に向けてともに手を取り合い、FCAJ広場から革命が起きると信じています。areas such as social infrastructure. I had been thinking about cooperation for open innovation among industry, academia, government, and the private sector, and how to build a hub for research and development, so I officially joined FCAJ and began to cooperate with its activities. Many planners and managers of facilities and organiza-tions such as the Innovation Center and Future Center gather at FCAJ. We begin meetings by raising issues that are “owned” by the member that raises them. We all study the issues, and participants from different fields generate and develop ideas, draft targets, and recommendations. As we had more oppor-tunities and more such ba, participants have increased, and issues and themes have become more diverse. NAD has been a reliable presence that offers suggestions for spaces and ba to tackle fundamental issues with which societies and indus-tries grapple. NAD also discovers latent potentialities and shares ideas and methods about how to communicate effec-tively. New values, visions, and concepts have come out of the knowledge and information thus accumulated, and we have started to collaborate on research projects that go beyond the frameworks of industry and government cooperation. NAD office space is like being at a summer study camp where you can easily discuss issues, even with people you have just met for the first time. Processes that offer flexibility to shape the output as the project progresses promote open exchanges of opinions. The design of ba where people are relaxed enough to venture new ideas is very important in cre-ating social values unhindered by stereotypes or existing mod-els. It is my hope that FCAJ will play the role of pacesetter for accelerating social change that is not possible by a single organization, such as by creating citizen participation mech-anisms and models or by experiments that can move beyond existing prejudices.
