Photography｜堀内広治［新写真工房］／Koji Horiuchi［Shin Shashin Kobo］日本の上質な寝台列車の先駆けとなった「トワイライトエクスプレス」の伝統と誇りを受け継ぎ、瑞風グリーンをボディカラーとした新車「TWILIGHT EXPRESS 瑞風」。「美しい日本をホテルが走る──上質さの中に懐かしさを」をコンセプトに、洗練された上質さと心休まる懐かしさを「ノスタルジック・モダン」のテイストにまとめ上げました。　編成は、一両一室のザ・スイートを含む、客車6両、食堂車1両、ラウンジカー1両、編成両端の展望車2両の計10両。外部の風を感じることができる展望デッキが特徴です。インテリアはアール・デコ調のデザインをベースに、沿線地域の魅力が感じられる厳選されたマテリアルやアートを散りばめました。日本の原風景ともいえる車窓からの美しい眺めとともに、特別な鉄道の旅を提供しています。Carrying on the tradition and pride of Japan’s pioneer luxury night train the “Twilight Express,” the new cars of the “Twilight Express Mizukaze” are dark green. The design, following the “beautiful Japanese hotel on rails̶luxury with nos-talgia” concept, pursues a “retro-modern” taste combining elegant refinement with old-fashioned comfort. The train consists of “The Suite” (one car allocated for a single party), six cars with single and double rooms, a dining car, lounge car, and observation-deck cars at either end of the train for a total of ten cars. The observation decks are designed to allow travelers to enjoy the feel of the wind as the train moves along. The interior designs are Art Deco style with highlights using carefully selected materials and art referencing famous attractions of the coun-tryside along the route.
