「海から山まで」を市内に抱える自然豊かな津市の新たなシンボルとすべく、海辺の波、街のにぎわい、山々の連なりの組み合わせをイメージした外観としました。施設中央のアスリートモールと呼ぶロビー空間からは、各施設の入口が一望できます。メインアリーナに設けた光ダクト（自然光を屋内に取り入れる装置）は世界最大級の規模を誇り、光ダクトのみでも平均200ルクスの照度を確保し、エネルギー削減に大きく寄与しています。For this new symbol of nature-rich Tsu, a city that embraces both the “mountains and sea,” the exterior features forms evoking the waves of the sea, the bustling city, and the rippling hills. The building is organized to enable visibility from the main lobby area at the center of the complex, known as the Athlete’s Mall, to the lobby of every other facility, for easy way-finding.
