大学跡地に建つ、まちづくりの要となる裁判所Court Building on Former University Campus Site Catalyzes Urban Renewal福岡高等・地方・家庭・簡易裁判所庁舎 Fukuoka High, District, Family, Summary CourtPhotography｜提供 最高裁判所／Courtesy Supreme Court全国に8つある高等裁判所を含む、地方、家庭、簡易裁判所の合同庁舎です。史跡「福岡城跡」などから、九州大学キャンパス跡地へ移転集約・新築した、新しいまちづくりの要となる施設でもあります。住宅地に建つため、高等裁判所としての品位・風格をもつこととあわせて、周囲と調和した佇まいを目指しました。外装に整然と並ぶ柱型は、直射日光を遮るほか、近隣との視線の交差を防ぎます。This new building in Fukuoka houses one of Japan’s eight High Courts as well as the district, family, and summary courts for the region. Moved from the grounds of Fukuoka Castle Park and other locations to the present site formerly occupied by Kyushu University, it forms an urban renewal pivot. The area is residential, so the design aimed for both the dignity of a high court building and harmony with the sur-roundings.
