Photography｜時空アート／Jiku Art和歌山らしさを纏った質実剛健な庁舎Edifice of Wakayama Fortitude and Vigor 和歌山地方合同庁舎 Wakayama National Government Building防災拠点整備、各官署の連携強化を目的とした、国の出先機関の移転集約計画です。隣接する裁判所と壁面位置を揃えて公開空地を整備し、街区でまとまりのある景観を創出しました。また、お堀沿いに主動線やアメニティ機能を配置し、誰もが和歌山城を感じられる計画としています。ウォータージェットによるPCa版削り出しを採用し、南紀海岸沿いに多くある堆積地層断面を想起させる、表情豊かな外装を実現しました。建築主 ： 国土交通省 近畿地方整備局所在地 ： 和歌山県和歌山市｜延べ面積 ： 24,081m2Client : Kinki Regional Development Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and TourismLocation : Wakayama, Wakayama Pref.Total oor area : 24,081m2Nikken SekkeiThis project was planned to bring together the branch offices of national government agencies in the region in order to provide an improved disaster prevention base and strengthen interagency coordination. The design aligns the frontage with the neigh-boring courthouse building and incorpo-rates improvements to public open spaces, integrating the district landscaping. The building looks out across the old moat to the former castle grounds, and the lively layered design of the exterior evokes the stratified geology that is a characteristic of the Wakayama prefecture coastline.252018 WINTER37Annual 2018 | WORKS
