蘇州経済の発展を牽引する工業園区CBD地区の中核となる高密度複合開発プロジェクトです。隣接する湖までを敷地と捉え、東方之門*1を含む建築群に造形的な統一感をもたせたデザインとしています。また、湖畔の公園、鉄道施設、道路、地域冷暖房プラントなどの都市基盤をこれまでの規制を超えて一体的に設計。水と緑に溢れ、人々が憩えるパブリックスペースを各所に配した、回遊性の高い立体都市景観を創出しました。This high-density, mixed-use develop-ment project forms the core of the CBD financial district in the Suzhou industrial park that is driving the development of the Suzhou economy. The design is unified in formative terms with the surrounding buildings including the imposing “Gate of the Orient”*1 tower and is conceived as extending all the way to the nearby lake. The design envisions an overall plan tran-scending previous restrictions by incorpo-rating urban infrastructure (lakeside parks, railway facilities, streets, district heating and cooling plant, etc.).
