Building] 5 basements, 31 above ground / [Otemachi One Tower] 5 basements, 40 above ground2棟の超高層オフィスビルに、ホテル、商業施設、多目的ホールなどから構成される、大規模複合開発です。同地に当時最先端のオフィスビルとして竣工した三井物産旧本社ビル（1976年竣工）は、この場所がもつ広域の課題解決のため、また容積割り増しを活かしたさらなる成長を目指し、建替えを選択。建替えにあたっては旧本社ビルに込められた「想い」を継承しながら、本社機能とさまざまな都市機能が織り込まれた一つの「街」とも言える建築として生まれ変わりました。また、都市再生特区として、皇居の緑と連続する緑地空間の整備や賑わいの創出、防災対応力の強化および都市基盤の整備によって、良好な都市環境の形成を図っています。Otemachi One is a major mixed-use development in Tokyo composed of two superhigh-rise office towers containing a hotel, shops, a multipurpose hall, and other facilities. Replacing the former Head Office building of Mitsui and Co. completed on this site in 1976, the design seeks to create a community merging corporate opera-tions with urban functions while maintaining the spirit of the original structure. The redeveloped complex promotes maintenance of green spaces connected with the Imperial Palace parkland and improves disaster-preparedness measures and urban infrastructure.123122020 AUTUMN44Feature | WORKS
