Photography｜1–3: 野田東徳［雁光舎］／Harunori Noda [Gankohsha］4：提供 三井物産株式会社/Cortesy Mitsui & Co., Ltd.皇居に向けて開かれた「大手町三井ホール」コンサートや国際会議、展示会、パーティーなど多様な使い方に対応することができる多目的ホールです。格子状の音響調整板が窓際を昇降することで、さまざまなシーンに合わせた空間と音環境を可能としました。床材はすべて三井物産の社有林から切り出した材を使用。皇居の森とのつながりや社有林の豊かな自然が感じられる、連続する木立をイメージしたデザインとしました。夜は音響調整板がライトアップされ、内部を柔らかく遮りながら、まちに向けて豊かな表情をつくり出します。Facing the Imperial Palace: Otemachi Mitsui HallThis hall is a multipurpose venue for concerts, international conferences, exhibitions, and other entertainment events. An acoustic-control panel can be raised and lowered along the window, making it possible to customize the space to a vari-ety of acoustic environments and requirements. The flooring is made from wood sourced entirely from company-owned forests. Referencing the abundant forests from which it came and the nearby palace grounds, the design evokes a continu-ous grove of trees. At night, the acoustic-control panel is illu-minated, gently enclosing the space and projecting its elabo-rate design to the outside. 3皇居の緑とつながる「Otemachi One Garden」皇居側には都心最大級の6,000m2の広場「Otemachi One Garden」を整備し、2022年末に完成予定です。皇居とつながる高木に囲まれた芝生広場を配置し、各種イベントにも活用します。また、カルガモ池として親しまれた三井物産旧本社ビルにあった水景を再構成し、将門塚へのバリアフリーなアプローチを整備することで、歴史と文化を継承します。One with Imperial Palace Greenery: Otemachi One GardenLocated against the backdrop of the Imperial Palace grounds, the complex’s “Otemachi One Garden,” to be completed at the end of 2022, will be one of the largest open spaces in central Tokyo at 6,000 square meters. A large lawn surrounded by trees will host a variety of events. Transmitting the history and culture of the area, the waterscape of the former Head Office building of Mitsui and Co. will be reconstructed and a new barrier-free route to the Taira no Masakado grave created.4172020 AUTUMN44Feature | WORKS
