森林保全をまちの生活に取り入れる「つな木」Tsunagi: Making Forest Preservation Part of Urban Lifeつな木Tsunagi (Community Created by Wood)大庭拓也／松丸真佑美／石澤英之高橋恵多／大和田卓／江坂佳賢Takuya Oba / Mayumi Matsumaru / Hideyuki IshizawaKeita Takahashi / Takashi Owada / Yoshisato Esaka日建設計 Nikken Wood Lab Nikken Wood Lab, Nikken Sekkei日本は国土面積の2/3を森林が覆う森林大国である一方、木材価格の下落により林業が衰退し、森林の多面的な機能低下が社会的課題になっています。　木質・木造の研究開発を行う日建設計の自主研究組織「Nikken Wood Lab」は、中・大規模の木造建築だけでなく、木材のユーザー層の裾野を広げ、環境への意識を高めるアクションとして、木質ユニット「つな木」でのトライアルプロジェクトを進めています。　自然と人が調和し、環境と経済が同調し、都市と山村がよりつながりを見せるであろうwith コロナ社会において、「場」と「コト」をつくり、「ヒト」をつなぐ、多彩なソリューションを提案していきたいと考えています。Two-thirds of Japan is covered with forests, but its forestry industry has suffered due to the influx of cheap imported lumber. Decline in the multiple functions forests once served in society has become a matter of public concern. Nikken Wood Lab’s R&D, focusing on wood as a material and construction with wood, aims not only to promote construction of mid- and large-scale wood buildings but also to raise environmental awareness and increase the possibilities for the use of wood. Tsunagi is the Lab’s trial project focused on individual wooden units. In this “living-with-COVID-19” society, we acknowl-edge that we are likely to see the prioritization of harmo-ny between humanity and nature, the alignment of the environment and the economy, and connections forged between city and countryside.
