This is our urban design and architectural plan for Shenzhen’s largest transportation terminal. The station building’s distinctive ribbon-shaped rooftop garden provides seamless connections to adjacent locales, while the space below it integrates an array of transit services and other urban functions and activities. Our goal was to realize allur-ing public space and resilient transit-orient-ed development (TOD) that functions hand-in-hand with the local natural environment, while enabling commuter convenience and minimizing environmental impact.
