NEWS有明体操競技場が、「持続可能な都市開発の未来」というテーマで開催されたアジア建築家評議会（ARCASIA）の年次会議（期間：2022年9月4日─9日、開催地：モンゴル ウランバートル）にて、「2022年度ARCASIA建築賞」のB-5特殊建築物カテゴリで金賞を受賞しました。　本プロジェクトは、日建設計（基本設計・実施設計監修・監理）と清水建設（実施設計・施工）が設計に携わり、東京2020オリンピック・パラリンピック競技大会やその後開催されるイベントの会場として2019年に竣工し、木構造による大屋根と木のベンチに囲まれた温かみのある大空間や、木材を活用したダイナミックな外観で注目を集めています。The Ariake Gymnastics Centre won the Gold Prize in the B-5 Specialized Building category at the 2022 Architects Regional Council Asia’s (Arcasia) Awards for Architecture. The award was received at the Arcasia annual conference held September 4–9, 2022 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia under the theme, “The Future of Sustainable Urban Development.” vision) along with Shimizu Corporation (design development and construction) designed the Ariake Gymnastic Centre that was built in 2019 as one of the main venues for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games and for legacy usage as an event hall. WELL Certification is an assessment system for measuring, evaluating, and cer-tifying the functions and performance of buildings on the basis of criteria affecting human health and well-being (confirm their quality vis-à-vis physical, psychologi-cal, and social well-being) led by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI).
