enjoys direct access to the subway station and is filled with natural light through the roof above the sunken garden. The second and third basement levels provide parking space for 3,200 cars. In response to the anticipated traffic generation approaching the high-density site from a variety of directions, an underground ring road is proposed which seamlessly links into the underground to ease trafc congestion above ground. In addition to the coherent approach to the underground, proposals are made for landscaping and above ground pedestrian decks in order to achieve an even greater design coherency. The proposal is supported by a trafc simulation for the broader area, which reassures that the provided design is capable of successfully handling future traffic demands. Modelled traffic flows were optimized by adjusting the number of access points to car parking facilities for the best ow results, while in parallel adjustments were made in the area’s landscaping, architecture and mobility design to achieve a well-balanced and coherent design.1FB1FB2FB3F
