NIKKEN AT CITYSCAPE GLOBAL DUBAI 2019

With over 30 years of presence in the UAE, the Nikken Group celebrates its presence in the local market at the annual Cityscape Global Dubai event. The fair is an occasion for the company to meet and greet esteemed clients and to expand its network and portfolio. And, for the second consequent year, the Nikken Stand has welcomed His Excellency the Ambassador of Japan in the UAE and the First Secretary, who showed great interest and appreciation in the company vision and achievements.

During this 18th edition, the Nikken Group’s was divided in five different thematic areas —TOD, Hospitality, Tall Buildings, Sustainable Structures—showcasing some of the most relevant and recent projects. The fifth and main area was dedicated to One Za’abeel, one of the most anticipated projects in the region.

In fact, the mixed-use development, now under-construction, captivated the public’s interest who were eager to learn all the details about this project, as at the beginning of next year its main feature, The Link, will be raised over a busy elevated highway.

Among other projects on display, the topic of sustainability was brought to the attention of Cityscape’s visitors by the concept study of W350, which if proven feasible will become the tallest wooden structure in the world; and the concept study for wooden structures in residential housing.

In addition, Transit Oriented Development projects still confirmed the company’s strength in the field with prominent projects in Dubai and China. The company is working closely with a Dubai developer for what will be the Emirate’s first TOD project.  And in China, Nikken’s TOD development in Shapingba Station, located in Shapingba District of Chongqing is set to create a new landmark for the city.

Nikken’s stand also showcased a range of hospitality and tall buildings including the iconic Tokyo Skytree, the tallest broadcasting tower in the world; and Futur Camp NouFC Barcelona’s iconic football stadiumwhich will undergo a complete refurbishment, and a roof installation, increasing its capacity from 99,354 to 105,000 seats.

With an expected turnout of approximately 50,000 visitors, Cityscape Global is recognised as the annual barometer for the real estate industry in emerging markets, and is one of the largest and most influential real estate events held globally.
