Putting the right face on a factory embraced by forests and waterAsahi Beer Kanagawa BreweryThe key concept for our design for Asahi Beer’s Kanagawa Brewery was "anenvironment-creating factory that thinks of harmony between the earth, the community,and the individual", reflecting our aim to coexist with the rich natural environment of thesite, between the Hakone and Tanzawa mountain ranges. Surplus soil from theconstruction was used to build a "Gambrinus Hill" on the entrance approach, with aspread of flowing water in the center, creating a suitable face for a factory amid forestsand water. We also built a bio-garden, including biotopes inhabited by fireflies, wherelocal elementary school children go for nature studies. The garden embodies thecompany’s character and attitude towards becoming "bright, approachable and open tothe community" and "considerate of the environment". Yasuhiko KitaniTown/ Bringing back waterside environmentsガンブリヌスの丘。水底に再生ガラスのビン底21万個を敷き詰めた水面が森と水の工場を演出。Gambrinus Hill The bottom of the wateris carpeted with the bottoms of210,000 recycled glass bottles,making the water area appear as asymbolic pond in front of the factory.北京中軸線マスタープラン。幅３ｋｍ、長さ３5ｋｍにわたる計画で、水資源の有効利用と都市気候の改善を提案。Beijing Central Axis Master Plan This plan covers an area 3km wide and 30km long, offering effective use of water resources and a better urban climate.16The fresh breeze off the water surfacelowers surrounding temperature andgives people inner tranquility.The water surface it enhances the imageof the building’s landscaping, creates acooler microclimate throughout the site,and gives a dramatic expression of thecharacter of the town.「森と水の工場」にふさわしい顔創りアサヒビール神奈川工場アサヒビール神奈川工場は、「地球・地域・人との調和を考えた環境創造工場」を基本コンセプトとし、箱根連山や丹沢山系に抱かれた建設地周辺の恵まれた自然との共生を目指しています。工場への導入部には、建設残土を利用し“ガンブリヌスの丘”を創り、流れのある水面を中央に配すことにより、「森と水の工場」にふさわしい顔創りを行いました。また、蛍の住むビオトープをはじめとした周辺の小学生が自然観察の場としているビオガーデンを設けるなど、「地域に開かれた明るい親しみ易さの実現」や「環境への配慮」に取り組む企業姿勢の具現化に努めています。木谷靖孫水面は、そこに発生するそよ風によって周辺の気温を下げる効果があると共に、人の心に安らぎを与えます。施設の修景上のイメージアップをもたらし、地域全体に冷気をもたらす微気候を生むと共に、まちの表情を劇的に演出します。まち/水辺環境を蘇らせる北京オリンピック会場Beijing Olympic Stadium故宮The Palace天安門広場Tien An Men square35km●環境親話2006まちから建築へ　日建設計―FACT－NIKKEN SEKKEI
