Water is drawn from the Dojimagawa and discharged into the Tosaborigawa.１日当り約160m3の河川水を濾過滅菌した上で、便所洗浄水として使用。年間当り、1,200万円の水道代を削減。Filter sterilization is used on approximately 160m3per day,after which it is used for flushing toilets. This method cuts theannual mains water bill by ¥12 million.河川水の利用。１日当り、2,240ｍ3の河川水を空調用冷凍機の冷却用水として使用。夏期は、河川水の温度は外気温度よりも２℃程度低く、冷凍機の効率的運転が可能。Use of river water. Every day, 2,240m3of river water used acoolant water cot the air conditioning chillers. In summer, thetemperature of the river is around 2℃lower than outside air,so the chillers can run effectively. 河川水利用で環境負荷を削減する中之島セントラルタワー１９６０年竣工の建物の建て替えで、２００５年に竣工したオフィスビルです。敷地は、２つの川に挟まれていて、堂島川より河川水を取水し、土佐堀川へ放流する河川水利用設備が既設の建物にありました。この既得権を活かし、新しい建物でも河川水の冷房利用と雑用水利用をするための設備を設けました。試算の結果、河川水を活用することで、年間当たりの空調熱源コストの１０％が削減でき、便所洗浄水の８０％を、河川水を水源とした雑用水でまかなうことができます。中村信治マネジメント/エネルギー・マネジメントへ向けてReducing environmental loads by using river waterNakanoshima Central TowerThis office building was completed in 2005, replacing abuilding that was completed in 1960. The site lies between tworivers, and the previous building had equipment to draw waterfrom the Dojima river and discharge it to the Tosabori river. Thatvested right was used to add equipment to the new building’sdesign for using river water as a cooling source andmiscellaneous water. A rough calculation indicates that use of river water achieveda saving of approximately 10% in annual air conditioning heatsource costs and a saving of 80% in toilet flushing water.
