22FACT　NIKKEN SEKKEI　　　　プロジェクトマネジメントの現場　日建設計約150のブランド店舗を一斉オープンレクサス店舗設計プロジェクトは、トヨタ自動車が、海外で展開しているレクサスブランドを日本市場に導入するために、独自性のあるブランドイメージを持った約150店舗を2005年8月に全国同時オープンさせるという、他に類のないプロジェクトです。建築の設計では一品一様のプロジェクトが通常ですが、レクサス店舗では、同時期に進捗する全店舗に対して、ブランドイメージを保持しながら、クオリティ・スケジュール・コストをマネジメントしていくことが求められました。全国にある建設地はすべて異なる敷地条件であり、クライアントである各々のレクサス販売会社からも独自の要求やコスト上の制約を提示される一方、レクサス店舗としての店舗ファシリティ基準に合致させるため、より的確なプロジェクトマネジメントが必要とされました。Simultaneous opening of multiple shop frontsAlthough the Lexus brand has been a great success abroad for Toyota Motor Corporation, until recently it had never been sold in Japan. The Lexus shop front development and design project called for nearly 150 showrooms evoking the prestigious image of the brand to be opened simultaneously across Japan in August 2005, representing a completely new marketing approach. Design projects usually entail work on a particular site with its own unique features. But this case required a single sophisticated design to be applied in a highly coordinated manner at numerous differ-ent locations. Showroom sites would have different construction restrictions, and there would be individual owner requests and cost limitations to consider as well.
