MAIN TECHNICAL DATASite AreaGodrej Centre aims to set a pioneering standard in sustainable office design in terms of overall workplace experience, while celebrating the rich and varied context of the western Indian city of Pune. The project seeks to viably integrate employees’ wellbeing within an elegant, innovative form, taking into consideration the means of a post-pandemic world, and placing it one step ahead in the work-culture revolution. Located amid the lush green of the Koregaon Park Annexe, the site is adjacent to the Mula Mutha River to the north. The masterplan makes the most of the environment’s features by placing the main office tower approach towards the roadside and turning the riverside area into a green belt. The existing Nala natural water channel that runs along the site’s entire length has been integrated with the landscape design to enhance the urban ecology.Built-up AreaThe ground floor features a central main lobby that is accessible from the east and west. Retail spaces are arranged along the western approach, creating a pleasant front arcade, a pedestrian passage, and interconnecting views of the Nala and landscape. Typical floor layouts enhance creativity and productivity through flexible, well thought out internal spans, and by maximizing natural light diffusion. This plan allows for flexible configurations covering standard open office layouts, including glass-partitioned offices, window-side seating, team-designated seating, and hot desking. The exterior is simple and functional, with a modern and advanced design language. Features include a clean glass façade with fins to account for the longer west side environmental exposure. The overall goal was for a clean, minimalist, monolithic appearance that expresses power and understated elegance.Maximum HeightUnder ConstructionLocation:PuneService:Architectural Design (up to SchematicDesign + Façade Design Development)Program:Tenant Office BuildingClient:Godrej GroupPlanning Term:2020-2023GODREJCENTRE3.5 ha186,423 m298.95 m
