The buildings are open and energy efficient, with deep eaves and vertical louvers to deflect the strong sunshine, wind, and rain of Chennai’s tropical climate.The Japanese Garden in the welfare and services block is built with locally procured materials and plants and equipped with a tea house open as a staff space for rest and relaxation. The Food Court 3 staff dining facility has a capacity of 2,400, and its distinctive arcing colonnade and massive canopy resonates with the E&R block.
