WORKSFeature | Annual 2013新日鐵住金 技術開発本部 尼崎研究開発センター 鉄の力強さとしなやかさを纏った研究所Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation Research and Development Bureau Amagasaki Research and Development CenterResearch Center Clad in Steel’s Strong and Slender Lines研究所の機能強化を目的とした建て替え計画です。研究棟である新1号館と、実験棟である新2号館を中心とした構成で、新1号館は約133×23mの広大な無柱空間と片側分散コアというシンプルかつフレキシブルな空間に、耐火被覆のない躯体鉄骨を隠さず見せることにより、鉄の力強さを表現しました。新1号館の1階柱に採用した1000N級鋼材は、建築主が開発した世界最高強度の建築用鋼材で、本建物で初めて実際の建物に採用されたものです。建築主 新日鐵住金 株式会社所在地 兵庫県尼崎市│延べ面積 28,040m2Client Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal CorporationLocation Amagasaki, Hyogo Pref.Total oor area 28,040m2Aimed to strengthen the R&D Center’s functions, this rebuild project comprises the No. 1 Building research wing and the No. 2 Building testing wing. The No. 1 Building features a vast, simple, and flexible 133 x 23-meter column-free space with a separated core to one side. The structural steel beams overhead, left in plain sight without any fire-resistant coating, convey the image of the impressive strength of steel.
