WORKS日本生命 丸の内ガーデンタワー アウトフレームへのオマージュNippon Life Marunouchi Garden Tower Homage to the Outer Frame「日本生命 丸の内ガーデンタワー」は、日本経済の中心地であり、歴史と風格のある丸の内の中で、皇居に面した抜群の眺望をもつ立地にふさわしい「重厚さ」と、当ビルで表現したい「やさしさ」を併せもつことを目指しました。　外装は日本建築の伝統的なモチーフである縦格子をイメージさせる外周外柱と深い庇による構成とし、アウトフレームの細柱（450Φ）を吹き寄せとすることで、重厚な中にも優しさを感じさせるデザインを図りました。また、1組ごとの組柱の中に設置したエネルギー吸収装置によって、大地震においても構造体にダメージを与えないシステムとなっています。　外周外柱によるアウトフレームの構造により、基準階における26m×63m、約510坪の無柱の執務空間を確保することで、役員室や外資系企業の個室対応などにもフレキシブルに対応できるワークプレースを実現しています。建築主 日本生命保険相互会社所在地 東京都千代田区延べ面積 56,120m2階数 地下3階、地上22階（法規上23階）、塔屋2階構造 鉄骨造、一部鉄骨鉄筋コンクリート造・鉄筋コンクリート造Photography｜堀内広治［新写真工房］／Koji Horiuchi [Shin Shashin Kobo]The Nippon Life Marunouchi Garden Tower is designed to express the gentleness of a building that commands a splendid view facing the greenery of the Imperial Palace, as well as a weight befitting its location in history-rich Marunouchi, the heart of Japan’s economy. The facade lattice pattern of vertical lines and deep projecting slabs evoke motifs from traditional architecture while the articulation of slender twin 450mmΦexternal columns expresses a degree of dignity and softness, while energy absorbers inserted between each set of columns ensure the structure will not suffer damage even in the strong earthquake.
