周辺街区も含めた快適な街路空間の創出日本生命がともに歩んできた淀屋橋地区の景観形成のためにさまざまな取り組みを行いました。街区規模の取り組みとしては、3街区にまたがる街路の電線類地中化と歩道・街灯整備を行っています。また、街路ごとに特徴ある景観デザインとしました。東側街路は重要文化財である愛珠幼稚園を視覚的に取り込みつつ、緑豊かな並木と緑地の中に青木野枝氏のダイナミックな彫刻を配置し、今までにはなかった街路空間を生み出しています。北側街路は「適塾」への歴史散策ルートになっており、並木の中に名和晃平氏による歴史をモチーフとした彫刻を複数配置し、行き交う人々の目を楽しませています。御堂筋に面した本館・南館はライトアップを行い、御堂筋の夜の景観を彩っています。こうした取り組みを通して、この地区一帯に風格あるまち並みを創り出しています。Creating pleasant street space that connects with surrounding streetsWe undertook a variety of landscape-shaping initiatives in the Yodoyabashi district that has been the home of Nippon Life Insurance Company throughout its history. Among the district-scale projects was the undergrounding of electricity and communications lines and the improvement of sidewalks and streetlights. Distinctive landscape designs give each street a recognizable identity. The street on the east side visually incorporates the view of the old-style wooden building of Aishu Kindergarten, an Important Cultural Property, and landscaping including the placing of dynamic sculptures by Noe Aoki creates a totally new experience of street space. The north side has a historic walking route leading to Tekijuku, the private school that developed into Osaka University, featuring a number of sculptures on historical motifs by Kohei Nawa.
