技術のオープン化によるデジタルデザインの広がりとつながりを目指してOpen Digital Design Aims for Expansion and Connection日建設計DDL室（Digital Design Lab）は、2015年6月にデジタルデザインに関する知識と技術を共有するためのWEBサイト「openDDL.com」を開設しました。　デジタルデザインに従事する方、興味のある方々はまだ世の中でも少数です。一方、技術を支えるデジタルツールやICTは、時々刻々と変化しており、人材や技術を常時確保していくことは容易ではありません。したがって、デジタルデザインに関わる者は必然的に情報に敏感でなければなりません。情報の激流の中に身をゆだね、多種多様な情報を相互に交換し、探り当てた情報を自分自身のモノへと昇華していくことが必要となっています。　情報入手のためのリソースは多々ありますが、中でも重要なのはWEBです。現在、WEB上に存在するリソースの多くは、自ら生み出した知見や技術を、世の中へ広く共有していこうとする先人たちの姿勢によってもたらされたものといえます。　「openDDL.com」は、その先人たちの教諭の姿勢に学んだ、日建設計DDL室がハブとなって、知識や技術を広く共有し、多くのつながりを生み出していく場であり、社会人／学生、組織／アトリエ／大学などの枠を超えて誰もが発信可能なプラットフォームです。openDDLの活性化により、社内外問わずデジタルデザインに広く興味のある方々とともに、世の中に新しい価値を生み出すことを願っています。In order to promote knowledge- and technology-sharing in the field of digital design, in June 2015, Nikken Sekkei Digital Design Lab (DDL) opened the website “openDDL.com.”People who are engaged in digital design or who have an interest in this technology are still a rare breed. But the digital tools and ICT that support the technology are constantly and rapidly changing and it is no easy task to avail oneself of either designers skilled in digital design or the technology needed. Those engaged in digital design must therefore keep abreast of information and new technologies. Designers have to yield themselves to the storm of information around them, exchange information of all kinds and types, and learn to process the information sought out and make it their own.Among the many resources for obtaining information, the Web is important. Today, most of the resources that exist on the Web consist of knowledge and technologies people have devised and created and are available to us out of the willingness of these forerunners to share their work and ideas widely throughout the world.Taking this stance of sharing as our guide, openDDL.com is designed to make the Nikken Sekkei DDL a hub from which knowledge and technology can be widely shared, a place that generates and proliferates connections and a platform from which anyone—worker, student, organization, studio, university—regardless of their place in society, can make their work known.
