壁面書架Bookshelf大書架室展開図│Main stacks interior elevation2階正面玄関ホール。│Second floor entrance hall.大書架室改修平面図│Main stacks renovation plan, scale 1:300歴史をひも解く新たな機能改修第2段階では北翼1階の住友文庫と書庫の森、本館3階の記念室と大書架室が新たに整備されます。第1段階と同様に室内の内装が一掃され、新たな装いで来館者を迎えます。　3階の大書架室には、閉架書架に収蔵されている約4.5万冊、約3.8万点もの貴重な古典籍を展示する書架を設置し、開架室として改修する計画としています。構造体が石造・煉瓦造であるため書架転倒防止の壁面固定を避け、壁面に沿ってロの字型に書架を組み自立させることで書籍に囲まれた空間を実現し、構造体への損傷がない計画としました。　日建設計のルーツといえる大阪府立中之島図書館。100年を越える時間を私たちとともに過ごしてきました。そしてこれからも、時代に応じた対応を繰り返しながら、次の100年をともに歩み続けていきたいと思います。New Functions Tell about HistoryIn the second stage, work focused on renewal of the Sumitomo Collection room and the Shoko no Mori room on the first floor of the north wing, the Memorial Room and the main stack area on the third floor of the main building. The interiors (floors, walls, and ceilings) were entirely removed and replaced. In the main stacks on the third floor, cases are to be installed to display the some 38,000 valuable classical works (approx. 45,000 volumes), previously in closed stacks, to make them available in open stacks. The structure of the north wing is stone and brick masonry, so in order to avoid having to fix the bookshelves to the walls to secure them in place, the shelves are formed in a self-bracing square shape aligned around the four walls. This leaves the original structure unaffected by the renovations.092015 Autumn 24
