NEWS都市のパブリックスペースデザインコンペ2017Urban Public Space Design Competition 2017日建設計は、「都市のパブリックスペースデザインコンペ2017」を開催いたしました。2回目となる今回は、Airbnb Japan、カルチュア・コンビニエンス・クラブ（CCC）との共催で、「都市のスキマをシェアリングし、多様な価値を与えていく」をテーマとしました。2017年11月7日（火）の審査会にて、岸井隆幸委員長（都市計画家）、西沢立衛委員（建築家）、齋藤精一委員（クリエイティブディレクター）、谷川じゅんじ委員（スペースコンポーザー）より、189点（登録件数407件）の中から、最優秀賞1点、優秀賞3点、佳作6点が選出され、12月16日（土）の公開講評会にて表彰式が行われました。This year, Nikken Sekkei held its second, Urban Public Space Design Competition 2017 on the theme of “Sharing the In-Betweens” in conjunction with Airbnb Japan and the Culture Convenience Club (CCC). After screening all works submitted, on November 7, 2017 chief judge Takayuki Kishii (urban designer) and judges Ryue Nishizawa (architect), Seiichi Saito (creative director), Junji Tanigawa (space composer) announced one First Place winner, three Second Place winners, and six Honorable Mentions. A public awards ceremony was held on December 16.2018年世界の設計事務所ランキング2部門で継続1位Nikken Sekkei Continues to Rank First Among World Design Firms in Two Categories 英国の建築雑誌『BD』が毎年1月号で発表している世界の設計事務所ランキングにて、所属アーキテクト数（『BD』定義による有資格者数）で2位、マスタープラン部門および環太平洋地域部門では継続1位、ほか17の部門でトップ10入りすることができました。ご支援賜りました皆様に心より感謝申し上げます。The January 2018 issue of BD, the U.K. journal’s annual ranking of world architec-tural practices, placed Nikken Sekkei second in number of architects (per BD defi-nition of licensure), retaining its first place ranking in the master planning category and in the regional (Pan-Pacific) category, and ranked among the top 10 in 17 other categories.
