The design features elements of traditional Okinawan architecture such as amahaji (deep eaves) and himpun (wall to protect from both wind and bad luck). High open spaces made possible by cross-laminated timber (CLT) technology combine with the raked ceilings of the hipped roof to create an iconic space that heightens the sense of excitement for travelers. Furthermore, the quality of the interior environment takes into account the complex indices of thermal sensation as well as ambient environment (temperature, humidity, air flow, etc.) to achieve significant energy savings while maintaining interior environment quality.
