Photography｜太田拓実／Takumi Ota遊歩道のように建築するBuilding as a Promenade 天草市複合施設「ここらす」 Amakusa Complex “Kokorasu”図書館・保健所・公民館の機能をインテグレートした施設です。これらの用途が、敷地中央の「おおらかな庭」を介して一体的に使われる場を目指しました。おおらかな庭は、その一部が盛り上がり、2階の図書館へとつながっています。起伏のある庭とリニアな建築が互いに補完し合う構成とすることで、遊歩道のように外向的で包容力のあるスペースをつくろうと考えました。This mixed-use complex includes a library, a public health center, and a community center. The building design enables seam-less access to all of these functions through a spacious, multifunctional garden, open to access by all, at the center of the site. A slop-ing path gradually rises from the garden, connecting with the public library on the second floor. By creating a composition in which the linear building and the undula-tions of the garden complement one anoth-er, we aimed to create open and inviting promenade-like spaces.102020 WINTER45Annual 2020 | WORKS
