尾道水道に浮かぶ「船」のような庁舎Government Building on Onomichi Channel Imagined as a Ship尾道市庁舎 Onomichi City OfficePhotography｜佐藤和成［サトウ・フォト］／Kazunari Satoh [Satoh Photo]尾道水道に面する立地条件を活かし、海にせり出す建物形状として、海に浮かぶ「船」のような庁舎を目指しました。また、尾道の主要産業である造船・海運技術を活用した建築的スケールを超える幅18mの外装鋼板や、柔らかな表情をもたらす曲面の外装・庇などによって、市のシンボルとなる、尾道ならではのデザインを追求しました。Taking advantage of the site facing Onomichi Channel, the government build-ing has a ship-like design that appears to float on the water.
