1216コンパクトなホールへ劇場というスケールの大きな建物ではあっても、人々が親しみやすいヒューマンスケールの優しい建築となるよう考えました。階高を抑えたエントランスロビーや各ホールでは、そのコンパクトな計画ゆえの臨場感を楽しめます。外観もボリュームを抑え、緑の中にそっと佇むことにより、だれでも利用できる安心感を創出することを意図しました。屋外空間はイベントだけでなく、日常的に散歩を楽しんだり、子どもたちがステージでダンスを披露するなど、市民のための場所として機能しています。A Compact BuildingThe building is designed to be large enough to accommodate theater facilities but also user friendly with a small-scale feel. The low ceiling heights of the entrance lobby and halls pro-mote a sense of intimacy that envelopes visitors. Similarly, the design nestled within the greenery softens the impression of the building’s volume, reassuring visitors that this place is open to all. The plaza in front of the building serves not only as an event space but also as an everyday gathering place where local citizens can stroll, hold children’s dance perfor-mances, or engage in other projects on the outdoor stage.
