Phoogaphy|p.23日建設計/Nikken SekkeFeaure | PERSPECTIVES1 :左から南黌、本館、北黌。2 : 本館講堂。3 :本館内観。1 : From left: South Hall, Central Hall, North Hall.2 : Lecture hall (Central Hall).3 : Interior view of the Central Hall.123123ttr i黌の耐震化 黌、北23伝統的な工法でつくられた木造建築物は、近年実験の成果がある程度まとまり耐震性を評価する技術が整ってきました。木造の軸組みと土壁といった柔らかい素材で大きく変形できる伝統的木造建大宮学舎には、大学の校舎として使用される重要文化財の3つの校舎、本館、南黌、北黌があります。3棟は広場を囲むように配置されており、広場から眺める明治時代の優美を伝える建物の景観は壮観です。本建物群でも同様に高度な構造解析によって最小限の耐震補強とする取組みを行っていますが、土壁の両側に木摺漆喰が施された壁はこれまでに十分な実験結果がないことから、大規模な実大実験を計画して、本来の性能を活かす計画です。実験はこの秋の実施を予定しています。築物は、地震時に土壁が壊れながらも大きな地震エネルギーを吸収、まるで制振構造のように挙動するとともに、建物の揺れはゆっくりとなり免震構造のように挙動します。無鄰菴では、立体骨組モデルによる地震応答解析で伝統木造がもつ能力を活かして最小限の補強としました。歴史的建造物の景観と眺望を守る取組みを行っています。Recent studies have enabled the use of technology for evaluating earthquake- resistance in wooden buildings constructed using traditional methods. Such buildings can undergo severe deformation owing to the flexibility of the wooden framework and earthen walls. During an earthquake, the walls absorb large amounts of seismic ener-gy as they break down, essentially behaving as both vibration-damping structures and seismic isolation systems that reduce the intensity of the shaking. At Murin-an, seis-mic response analysis using a model of the frame allowed us to take advantage of the Three nationally designated important cultural properties operate as universi-ty buildings on the Omiya campus: the Central Hall, the South Hall, and the North Hall. The buildings are positioned around a quadrangle that affords a fine view of their late-nineteenth-century elegance. We employed the same advanced analytic meth-ods as in the projects mentioned above to keep seismic reinforcements in this group of buildings to a minimum. However, as we could not obtain sufficient results from our buildings’ traditional wooden structures to keep reinforcements to a minimum. We are engaged in ongoing efforts to preserve the historic architecture and landscape garden at Murin-an.study of the earthen walls, which are made by plastering over wooden slats on both sides, we plan to conduct full-scale testing on a large scale and take advantage of the buildings’ inherent qualities.
