I celebrate with Nikken Sekkei more than three decades of shared values and 04FOREWORDナーイフ・アル・ファハーディ Nayef ALFAHADI駐日サウジアラビア王国大使 Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Japan「大地を創る」以上に、明確な人類の進歩の証しがあるでしょうか？ 都市は、よりよい明日を思い描いてきた私たちの歩みとともに、進化する価値観と生活に寄り添い、さまざまな問題を解決し、そして環境と相互作用しながら、空間や境界を乗り越えて次々と建設されてきました。　建築は、意欲溢れる若者たちが出会い、自然環境と文化に触発されながら、新しく創造的なアイデアでともに未来を描き出し、成長する機会を創り出します。日建設計の設計者たちは、その志と向き合い、自然との調和を守りながら未来の都市をつくる専門家として、一世紀以上にわたり自らの職能を実践してきました。　わが国の都市化の歴史は、文明の黎明期まで遡り、その痕跡は今も残されています。そして今、現代建築史においても、創造性の限界を超えた、華麗な最新ページが加わることでしょう。20世紀後半から今日に至るまでの建築技術の実践により築かれた協力関係と豊かな景観、そして「サウジアラビア・ビジョン2030」に示された先例なきプロジェクトや構想に基づき実行されるであろう数々の野心的なアイデアは、創造力溢れる建築家たちが、わが国を未来へつながるサステナビリティ実現の場として評価していることを端的に表しています。　サウジアラビアの価値観や構想を日建設計と共有してから30年以上が経ちました。特筆すべきは、間もなく完成を迎えるリヤド中心部キングアブドゥラ金融地区のタダウルタワー（p.14–17参照）です。このように持続可能性に向けて一丸となって取り組むべきプロジェクトのため、創造力豊かな先駆者やイノベーターを常に求めて、ともに人を育みながら、世界に刺激を与えていきましょう。Is there any evidence of human journey more vivid than the idea of building the earth? City after city has been built, transcending the boundaries of space, dedicated to human values and to evolving concepts of living, and devoted to solving problems and to interacting with the environment, all the while envisioning tomorrow. Architecture proposes new, creative ideas every day, facilitating opportunities for common growth that bring together youth with aspiring minds for drawing and building the future, inspired by their natural environment and culture. To that end, the designers and architects at Nikken Sekkei have witnessed and displayed more than a century of expertise in preserving harmony with nature in the building of future cities. In my country, the history of urbanization goes back to the dawn of history, and the evidence of that history still stands. Modern history adds the brightest and most up-to-date pages in the world of architecture, reaching beyond the limits of creativity. Constructive cooperation and the fertile aesthetic environment found through the early architectural and engineering experiments from the late twentieth century to today, along with the ambitious ideas carried by the unprecedented projects and ideas of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, are the most valuable evidence of how creative architects appreciate our homeland. This sustainable context that will continue for the good of the future. ideas in the Kingdom, the jewel of which is the recent iconic Tadawul Tower project (see pp.14–17) at KAFD in the center of Riyadh. We always look forward to the uni-fied and sustainable effort of such projects, and invite initiators and innovators with creative plans, so that together we will continue to build people and inspire the world.建築を通して夢を叶えるRealizing Dreams through Architecture
