Taking advantage of PYNT’s location—facilities of this kind are not typically integrated with company headquarters—we are exploring how to devise a co-creation movement and a comfortable space for internal and external parties. To run the facility, the Nikken Sekkei Innovation Design Center plans and produces various undertakings that inspire co- creation. Active internal and external communication is sparked as well with the help of outside community teams including from Nikken Sekkei Construction Management. The studio is also used to study real projects.3: The accessible restrooms focus on functions instead of user attributes and have three different design themes (“Styling,” for users to change their clothes or tidy up; “Relax,” for meditating or napping; and “Refresh,” for brushing teeth or doing stretching exercises).5: Aiming to create a comfortable space for everyone, PYNT connects people through communication, the bar area, the bookshelves, and various other means.
