Gankohsha］0tr123Phoogaphy2：日建ハウジングシステム／Nikken Housi｜1runori Noda [ng System, 3：野田東徳［雁光舎］／HaS=1:8,000 |100m16日建ハウジングシステム 大阪オフィス大阪市中央区｜2016年6月Nikken Housing System Osaka Office Chuo--ku, Osaka | June 2016日建ハウジングシステムでは鹿児島県薩摩川内市とともに、地域資源であり地域課題である竹の利活用に取り組んでいます。竹の成長は早く、約3─5年で建材として利用できます。CO2吸収は1年程度ですが、短期間で循環するため、使えば使うほど脱炭素社会の実現につながります。また、放置された竹林が山を侵食し、森林の荒廃や獣害を招く「放置竹林」の課題解決のため、竹集成材を構造材とした建築の研究や竹由来のセルロースナノファイバーで建材をつくる取組みを行っています。大阪オフィスでは、竹を活用してオフィスエントランスの壁や天井をデザイン。また、モデルプロジェクトでの性能評価を取得した竹集成材構造の柱・梁のモックアップを展示するなど、竹の課題を共有し、建築での利用方法を発信しています。Nikken Housing System is collaborating with the city of Satsumasendai in Kagoshima Prefecture in efforts to make greater use of bamboo and better maintain local bamboo forests. Bamboo grows rapidly and can be harvested for use as a building material after around three to five years. The plant can serve as a carbon sink for only about a year, but its ability to quickly regenerate means the more it is used, the more effective it becomes as a tool for decarbonization. When left to grow unchecked, it degrades terrain through soil erosion and attracts wild animals that can cause fur-ther damage.
