PERSPECTIVESNDG1 PROTOTYPE─次世代オフィスのプロトタイプNDG1 Prototype: Prototype of a Next-Generation OfficeThe construction industry is said to be responsible for 40 percent of the world’s CO2 emissions. To minimize whole life carbon, which is the carbon impact created over the lifetime of a building, we need to reduce both embodied carbon (the CO2 released through construction activities, spanning from construction to demolition) and oper-ational carbon (the carbon emitted from 24世界のCO2排出量の40％が建設産業起因と言われています。建物の一生で排出するCO2（ホールライフカーボン）を最小限に抑えるためには、建設から解体までの建設活動から排出されるCO2（エンボディドカーボン）と、運用段階に使用するエネルギーから排出されるCO2（オペレーショナルカーボン）の両方を最小化する必要があります。そのためには建物の計画時点から「建物の一生」を見据えた総合的な視点で、環境性能の高い設計を行うことが重要です。　働き方の多様化に伴い、求められるワークスペースが変化しています。これまでの均質な無柱空間のオフィスから、「自然を感じるオフィス」や「働き方で環境を選ぶことができるオフィス」へと、オフィスの価値観そのものが変化し始めています。これまでのオフィスでは常識だと考えられていたものを再考し、カーボンニュートラルと新しいワークスペースの両立を目指した次世代オフィスのプロトタイプを提案します。「木」のやさしさを感じるコミュニケーションスペース｜The use of wood imbues the communication space with a warm ambience 1：NDG（Nikken Design Goals）とは、多様性の時代を踏まえ、全社を挙げてとりまとめられた日建グループ全体で共有するデザイン指針。1: NDG (Nikken Design Goals) are the set of design guidelines developed by mobilizing the entire Nikken Group and shared by all its companies for the era of diversity.energy use during the operational phase) to the lowest level possible. Workplace needs are changing as work-ing styles diversify. The values that informed offices are shifting: in place of large-scale, homogenous, column-free workspaces, workers are favoring spaces where they can feel connected to nature or choose an envi-ronment that matches their working styles.
