Aiming for a hotel that is “My favorite place to be me,” the design incorporates features that allow guests to feel comfortable while experiencing the allure of the neighbor-hood: the design of the lobby, for example, evokes the huge decorative floats displayed during the annual Hakata Gion Yamakasa Festival, and the large bathing room fea-tures motion-graphics displays and music inspired by Fukuoka’s streetscapes and nat-ural environment.
