Phoogaphytr｜エスエス／SSAso Kumamoto Airport has gained new life under a private-sector contract, becoming a symbol of recovery and revitalizaiton after the 2016 Kumamoto earthquakes. We con-structed a new passenger terminal that fea-tures a roof structure and deep wood eaves, all made of timber sourced from within Kumamoto Prefecture. The domestic gate lounge area includes food and beverage ser-vices, shops, and other concessions close to the boarding gates, so passengers can spend time there until the very last minute before their departure.
