Updating the entire campus to create a new, future-oriented educational environment, we opted to incorporate some of the existing buildings, stone walls, old wells, and planted areas into the design rather than com-pletely transform the landscape. We also divided walls into sections to better integrate with the surrounding residential area and create human-scale spaces where students can feel comfortable. We focused not only on rebuilding but also on renovation and conversion for alternative uses, with the aim 古い事務室をイベントもできる学生ラウンジへConversion of old office space into a student lounge that can serve as an event venue 貸し出しカウンターをエントランスへConversion of a circulation desk into an entranceway旧図書館を歯科衛生学科へConversion of former library into the Department of Oral Health Sciences100m2程度の社宅を講義室に用途変更(設計:鴻池組、基本計画・監修:日建設計)Conversion of company housing (approx. 100 m2) into lecture rooms (Architectural design by Konoike Construction. Schematic design and supervision by Nikken Sekkei)1 : 住宅街の中のキャンパスとして壁面を分節化し、ヒューマンスケールな外観を形成した。既存の石垣や植栽の一部を再利用し、夙川の風景や既存キャンパスの外観を継承した。多種多様なリノベーションとコンバージョンA range of renovations and conversionsof creating facilities that can respond quickly to the rapidly changing times, while maximizing the campus’s existing charm.
