東武越生線Tobu Ogose Line 高麗川Koma River城西大学 坂戸キャンパス 23号館（JOSAI HUB）埼玉県坂戸市｜2023年7月Josai University Sakado Campus Building No. 23 (Josai Hub)Sakado, Saitama Pref. | July 2023中本太郎／長尾美菜未 Taro Nakamoto / Minami Nagao日建設計 設計監理部門 Architectural Design Department, Nikken Sekkei広大な既存キャンパスの正門前に23号館が、そしてその低層部にこのキャンパスに通うすべての学生のための活動交流拠点「JOSAI HUB」が完成しました。今後、このHUBを中心に、既存各建物をつなぐ回廊「JOSAI RING」の整備が続きます。規模が大きくなる過程で動線が複雑になったキャンパスを、HUBとRINGの挿入という最小限のプロセスで一体感を取り戻し、キャンパス全体に活力をいきわたらせる再整備計画の第一歩です。Construction has been completed on Building No. 23, located in front of the campus main gate. On the building’s lower level is Josai Hub, a student activity and exchange center. Development of Josai Ring, a corridor connecting the existing buildings, is ongoing, with the Hub as the focal point. This is the first step in a redevelopment plan—minimalized through the process of incorporating the Hub and Ring—that aims to revitalize and unify the campus, where the growing scale of operations has complicated circulation lines.S=1:8,000 |050m106屋内外が連続する広場のような「JOSAI HUB」23号館は、キャンパスの顔となる建物です。開校以来58年間継承されてきたけやき並木をはじめとする豊かな緑と、6,000人以上が学ぶいきいきとした学生の姿そのものを大学の顔にしたいと考えました。講義室や研究室を上階に持ち上げ、地上階にHUBを挿入することで、大きな庇の下のひとつながりの空間は360°すべての方角に開いた広場のような居場所となります。ラーニング、セルフスタディなどの学習スペースや、カフェ、ラウンジ、事務窓口を仕切りなく配置し用途を限定しないことで、重ね使いによるスペースの有効活用と互いを刺激しあう空間となります。すべての学生が「JOSAI HUB」を通り抜けて各棟へとアクセスする交差点（HUB）として機能します。川角駅Kawakado Sta.明海大学 坂戸キャンパスMeikai University Sakado Campus日本医療科学大学Nihon Institute of Medical Science城西大学 坂戸キャンパス23号館（JOSAI HUB）Josai University Sakado Campus Building No. 23 (Josai Hub)事業主 : 学校法人 城西大学延べ面積 : 22,120m2Client : Josai University Educational CorporationTotal floor area : 22,120 m2 HUBとRINGでキャンパス全体をつなぐConnecting a Campus through an Activity Hub and Circulation Ring
