This phenomenon would suggest mat-ter has a finite lifespan, and it is observable through the same method used to detect neutrinos. Confirming proton decay has been a major goal of scientists since the original Kamiokande facility became operational. They will soon embark on their third attempt with Hyper-Kamiokande, a facility that will enable observation with greatly improved precision. single force, or perhaps even a single subatomic particle, exist-ing in nature.
