Here, we will introduce some projects that have been com-pleted in recent years, as well as four ongoing projects that are taking on new challenges in line with the latest national policies and issues. Transit-oriented development (TOD) design encompassing high-speed rail As key infrastructure facilities driving the integrated devel-opment of urban areas, we have been involved in several high-speed rail station projects such as for Guangzhou 04陸 鐘驍 Zhong Xiao Lu日建設計執行役員、日建設計（上海）諮詢董事長 兼 総経理 Executive Officer, Nikken Sekkei; Chief Executive Officer and General Manager, Nikken Sekkei (Shanghai) Consulting Services2010年の上海万博以降、中国は急速に拡大した都市化に伴い、人口や産業の集中による交通渋滞、環境汚染、コミュニティの崩壊、不動産の高騰など多くの問題を抱えてきました。これらの問題を改善するにあたって2019年には中国政府から投資効率の高い都市圏構想が打ち出されました。また、2020年の第14次5カ年計画には「高品質発展」目標が盛り込まれ、量的拡大より質を重視する都市発展への移行が宣言されました。 「高品質発展」目標のもと、経済、医療、教育、文化、環境など、さまざまな分野での課題が示されていますが、特に都市や建築領域に密接に関連する以下の課題が注目を集めています。• 都市構造の改善と大都市圏政策の推進• 技術革新による産業構造の改革• 都市更新およびコミュニティ建設の加速With the rapid urbanization following Expo 2010 Shanghai, China faced problems including traffic congestion, environ-mental pollution, breakdown of communities, and rising real estate prices resulting from the concentration of population and industry. To remedy these issues, the government launched an investment-efficient urban area plan in 2019 and included a “high-quality” urban development target in the 14th Five-Year Plan from 2020, declaring a shift from quantitative expansion toward quality urban growth. Toward that target, the plan tackles challenges in the econ-omy, healthcare, education, culture, the environment, and vari-ous other fields.
