The space incorporates underground, aboveground, and elevated deck areas. While preserving the grid layout of the city streets, the design inte-grates numerous public spaces to create cohesion. Through coordination and discussion with the different designers and city block developers, design guidelines were established for the layout of the high-rise buildings, connections between city blocks, the underground parking network, and other elements to create both diversity and cohesion. Four nodes serve as points of connection to the city blocks and as symbols of the media port. At these nodes, seamless vertical circulation routes run through “urban cores” extend-ing from basement to deck. Each core has a distinct character and creates a unique experience, while digital technology integrates information-sharing and art.■■■■■■
